Established in 1903, the Department of Orthopedics at Children's Hospital Boston is one of the first comprehensive, interdisciplinary programs in the nation for the care of children and young adults with a wide range of developmental, congenital, neuromuscular and post traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system.

With over 59,000 outpatient visits and 4,000 surgical procedures per year Children's Department of Orthopedic Surgery leads the nation in the care and treatment of children and young adults with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions.

Our orthopedic team includes:
  • 21 Orthopedic Surgeons
  • 2 Certified Physician Assistants
  • 7 RN's and Nurse Practitioners
  • 5 full time Basic Scientists and over 10 Clinical Investigators
  • Physical and Occupational therapists
  • Plaster Room technicians
