As one of the largest pediatric psychiatric services in New England, our experienced team of psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers work with children and their families to cope with physical illnesses, neurobehavioral disorders and mood disorders.

The Outpatient Psychiatry Service is divided into four programs:

• La Programa de emergencias psiquiátricas provides emergency evaluations and crisis intervention in the emergency room at Children's.
• La Programa de neuropsicología offers state-of-the-art psychological assessment of children and adolescents with physical or neurological illness.
• La Programa de psicofarmacología helps assess and manage children and adolescents taking psychopharmacological medication.

• La Programa de tratamiento psicosocial uses psychoeducational, cognitive, behavioral and dynamic treatment approaches in individual, family and group therapy settings. Programs include the Equipo de terapia de grupo, Equipo latino, Equipo de afrontamiento médico y Mood Disorders Team.
