The Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital Boston is the nation's oldest and largest group of pediatric imaging specialists. Our pediatric radiologists, neuroradiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and interventional radiologists are experts at obtaining the best images for a timely and accurate diagnosis of your child's condition.
We perform about 170,000 imaging studies each year at the hospital and its satellite clinics in Lexington y Waltham, using state-of-the-art equipment specially designed or adapted for pediatric use. This means your child will be exposed to the lowest possible dose of radiation during his or her exam.
In some cases, children are referred to our interventional radiology division to undergo image-guided, minimally invasive procedures for conditions that previously would have required surgery.
