Expertise across specialties
The Brain Injury Program brings together pediatric experts from a wide range of specialties -- including trauma and emergency medicine, critical care, neurosurgery, neurology, sports medicine, neuropsychology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and others. Through this multidisciplinary approach, the center is helping define best practices in the way injuries are cared for, from early response, through inpatient care and long-term follow-up.

Team members are actively involved in injury prevention programs within the community, the training of medical staff on injury care and treatment, and research with the long-term goal of reducing the incidence of injuries and improving outcomes for those who have been injured. The center is part of the Programa de traumatismos del Children's Hospital Boston.
