The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Children's Hospital Boston provides comprehensive evaluation and consultative services to deaf and hard of hearing children, their physicians, families, schools, and other agencies.

Caring for more than 500 children and their families each year, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program is one of the largest programs of its kind in the country.

Expert Team

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program's interdisciplinary team includes hearing and deaf professionals who are experienced in working with infants, children, and adolescents with varying degrees of hearing loss.

Staff includes specialists in the fields of:

Mark your calendars now for the 5th biennial Próximos pasos conference, November 12-13, 2009 for parents of deaf and hard of hearing infants and toddlers and professionals who serve those families . This year's keynote speaker is Arlene Stedler Brown, a nationally recognized leader in Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) efforts.

Beginning February, 4, this series of six webinars is designed for early intervention specialists as well as parents of young deaf or hard of hearing children.
